Your GVV Assignment

Your GVV Assignment

Q Instructions: Your goal is to write a Giving Voice to Values scenario of your own, one that would be more relevant to your life/ the life of an RSU student. This could be particularly useful if you think about a situation you could potentially face, and might give you useful tools later. Your scenario must involve someone in a work situation (not an internship or a student in a class). It can, however, be someone who has just finished school and started working. Here's what I would expect: You write the scenario, like what you've been reading in class. You respond to the same questions you generally respond to (in writing, in what you turn in to me): 1. Who are the stakeholders, what is at stake for them? 2. What are the arguments against what your protagonist wants to do (come up with at least 4)? Remember, these are the arguments in favor of doing whatever they are trying not to do. 3. What are the arguments in favor of what your protagonist wants to do (how can they make the case for their side)? Again at least 4.

I could face a situation of not being considered to be promoted at the workplace even after working efficiently in an organization. This could happen even after providing my services to the organization for 3-5 years. This is because there could be different treatment for women in the corporate world, especially while considering female employees for promotions to important managerial positions. I could not progress in my career in future if I am treated in a biased manner. Therefore, I would have to raise my voice in this situation of partiality.
